Social Plan
The City of Langley has completed its first Social Plan with the assistance of the Social Planning and Research Council of B.C. (SPARC BC). The Plan, which was presented to City Council on February 11, 2008, identifies existing City initiatives and contributions and presents recommendations for ten priority subject areas.
Affordable Housing Strategy
The Affordable Housing Strategy was adopted by City Council on April 20, 2009. The Strategy was prepared with the assistance of the Social Planning & Research Council of B.C. and included consultations with community stakeholders, housing advocates, the development industry and the general public. The purpose of the Strategy is to guide decision-making around affordable housing over the next ten years.
