Since 1982 Langley Senior Resources Society has provided social, recreational and educational programs and food, health and supportive services for adults over 50 in the City and Township of Langley, BC.

We are an independent, not-for-profit charitable organization led by a volunteer governing Board of Directors.

Our two locations – the Recreation & Resource Centre and the Adult Day Program – operate with a staff of 45+ and over one hundred volunteers. They serve Langley seniors with heart and compassion every day.

The Recreation and Resource Centre is home to a café, the Tuk Shop Thrift Boutique, a computer lab, lending library and hundreds of programs every month. From bus trips and big events to card games, exercise classes, dances, guest speakers, and arts and crafts. The Centre also offers support groups, foot care, hearing and legal clinics and health seminars.

The best way to learn about current programming is to see a copy of IN THE LOOP, a monthly programs and services guide. Pick one up at the Centre or download a digital copy from our website homepage.

Meet Community Services, a team of professionals dedicated to offering support to all seniors who need help with housing, community connections, food insecurity, and isolation. (Membership is not required.) We can help navigate government and healthcare bureaucracies and forms too. Our Better at Home program also allows for little to low-cost services like transportation to appointments, help with grocery shopping, friendly visits and phone calls.

Become a member for $63 per calendar year (or prorated if joining April to December). Membership privileges include discounts on paid activities, access to member-only groups and events, and society voting rights.

For those 50+ who have a total income of less than $27,000 (single) or $32,000 (couple), the City of Langley offers subsidized memberships. Please contact the Member Services Supervisor at the Recreation and Resource Centre for details.

Our Adult Day Program (ADP) provides specialized care and recreation for older adults with physical and/or cognitive limitations, including the popular hydrosound bathing program. Call us for more information.
