Langley City Council Congratulates Jody Toor on Election Victory and Thanks Andrew Mercier for His Service

Langley City, BC – October 29, 2024 – Mayor Nathan Pachal, on behalf of Langley City Council, is pleased to congratulate Jody Toor on her recent election as the new Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Langley-Willowbrook. Langley City Council looks forward to working collaboratively with Ms. Toor on key issues that matter to the community.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work together with MLA Jody Toor on important matters such as getting a new deal for water, sewer, and road renewal, delivering affordable housing for regular folks, and moving the needle on public safety,” said Mayor Pachal. “I believe that our partnership will help ensure that Langley City continues to prosper.”

The Mayor also wishes to express gratitude to outgoing MLA Andrew Mercier for his years of dedicated service. “Andrew is a passionate advocate for our community, and his efforts have made a significant impact, including getting SkyTrain to Langley City, expanding childcare and Nicomekl Elementary, and providing funding for renewing the Fraser Highway One-Way.”

As Langley City embraces this new chapter, Mayor Pachal is optimistic about the future and looks forward to building a strong working relationship with Ms. Toor for the benefit of all residents.
