Science World on the Road

Science World will be bringing live science shows that families know and love from the iconic dome in Vancouver to Langley, BC!
The On The Road team will join in the celebrations at Langley's Community Day on June 14, 2025 with free public performances at 1pm and 3:30pm. Come explore and celebrate Science with us and the whole community!
Science World’s live shows feature spectacular science demonstrations from a wide variety of topics including electricity, air pressure, forces and chemistry. From flying chickens to hair raising electrical demonstrations and even the occasional explosion, there’s always lots of fun and audience interaction with Science World On the Road.
This greatest hits show includes some of the most iconic offerings from Science World’s repertoire of demonstrations. Enjoy the electricity of the hair-raising Van De Graaf Generator and all the other spinning, falling, flying demos that Science World is best known for.
Zipit Mobile Zip Line

New this year! Zipit Mobile Zipline will be at this year's event allowing participants to soar over Langley City along Douglas Crescent.
Cost: $10 per adult (19+ years) or $5.00 per youth (18 years and under)
We accept payment by cash, debit, or credit.
Participant Restrictions:
Minimum weight = 50lbs
Maximum weight = 210lbs

Did you know Langley City offers a FREE Bike Valet services at the Community Day festival? If you are considering alternative transportation options to attend the event the Bike Valet is available for the public to provide a safe a secure location to store your bicycle or mobility device.
Notice of Road Closures
To ensure the success and safety of the festival, some road closures will be necessary, and we wish to make you aware of those closures so you can plan accordingly.
Closure Details
- Date: June 14, 2025
- Time: 6:30 am to 10:00 pm
- Impacted Roads:
- Douglas Crescent - 204 Street to 206 Street (full closure and no access to private parking lots)
- Park Avenue - 20458 Building to Douglas Crescent (full closure)
- Park Avenue - 204 Street to 20458 Building (local traffic only)
- Fuller Lane - 204 Street to 206 Street (local traffic only, access to private parking lots)
- Laneway, South of Douglas Cres. and North of Park Avenue - 204 Street to Park Avenue (local traffic only, access to private parking lots)
- Important Notes:
- No parking in closure areas is permitted (vehicles will be towed)
- Limited access at Fuller Lane is permitted from 204 Street and Douglas Crescent; access will be controlled by a traffic control person
- Fraser Highway is closed from Glover Road to Salt Lane due to construction; access will still be available on the day of the event from Salt Lane.

- Douglas Park Community School - $5 all day, parking fundraiser - 5409 206 Street
