Outdoor Youth Programs at Douglas Park! 

We will begin offering outdoor youth drop in programs during the month of June. These programs will take place outdoor at Douglas Park and are dependent on the weather. These programs have additional physical distancing and hygiene measures that will be observed and follow to ensure the safety of all participants during programs. Please see the June programs sections below for more information on each program. 


Indoor programs will not be resuming at this time.  

As per the March 16th Covid-19 update released by the City of Langley, Timms CommunityCenter will be closed until further notice. Please check back for regular updates on youth programming.

Outdoor Sports

Run, jump, sprint, shoot and wack with this outdoor sports drop in! We will be offering use of our outdoor sports spaces at Douglas Park for drop in sports. Play basketball, tennis, hockey, badminton, soccer and more with the fresh air to energize you.

Check out our special summer drop in programs! All drop in programs are free with a valid Games and Track Pass ($10 per year). This includes Summer Swim, Outsiders and City Explorers. 

Join us for walks, parkour, outdoor sports, exploring Langley City and fun in the sun! See below for more information on each specific program.

Cool off and escape the summer heat at Al Anderson Pool! Walk over with Timms staff and go for a swim, play some water games and have some fun!

Enjoy some fun in the sun! Meet up with Timms youth staff and head over to Douglas park to play various sports and games outside! Soccer, hockey, basketball, capture the flag and more are all part of the plan.

Group will walk over to Douglas Park or City Park depending on the activity

City Explorers

FREE Drop-In with a valid Games & Track Pass ($10.00/year)


If you have ever wondered what there is to do in Langley and how to get there, this is the program for you! City explorers will travel around Langley and explore its parks, activities, food and services! We will explore Langley's parks, attractions such as climbing and lazer tag, food on Fraser highway and youth services such as the Langley Youth Hub! You don't have to travel to have fun when you can do it in your own city! 


July 3rd - August 28th 
Meet at Timms Community Centre - 20399 Douglas Crescent 
Group will walk or transit to various attractions and activities each week - Bus Passes can be provided when needed

Open to youth grades 6-12 

Youth Adventure Club (YAC)

Time to get out of town and see the sights around the Lower Mainland. The Youth Adventure Club offers supervised low-cost outings for Youth to experience the outdoors in a safe, fun and social manner. All trips include the cost of supervision, equipment and transportation. Pick-up and Drop-off at Timms Community Centre. Please dress for the outdoors and activity, pack a lunch, snacks, water and sunscreen.

Transportation is provided in the form of a rented van driven by Timms Staff

YOUTH ONLY! The Timms games room is closed to the public and give the youth an opportunity to come and hang out with their friends for the night! Come join in our games, tournaments, group cooking and dinners, crafts, and much more! Or just come in and play some pool or video games with your buddies!

Attention H.D. Stafford Middle School Students! Come check out our FREE After 3 program that happens each week AT YOUR SCHOOL! We offer something for everyone -- games, sports, cooking, crafts, and sometimes, just getting crazy and noisy.

Babysitter Training (11-16yrs)


Developed by the Canadian Safety Council, this course teaches the most up to date information concerning childcare and safety.  Course content includes:  basic first-aid, emergency procedures, safety, nutrition and responsibilities.  Learn tons of fun games and activities making you the most popular babysitter on the block!  Price includes manual and certificate (upon completion of the program).

Teen Pump (13-16yrs)

Teen Pump (13-16yrs)

Learn the safe and effective techniques in Weight Training for teens.  With proper guidance, youth will learn how to build strength, define their muscles and prevent injuries while using a variety of strength and cardio equipment.  Each participant will receive an individualized training plan based on their individual goals.  Youth who successfully complete the Teen Pump program will be permitted into the Timms Community Centre Weight Room without adult supervision.

Yoga & Pilates (14+yrs)


Hatha Yoga focuses on a healthy mind-body connection.  Learn how to control your breathing to improve oxygenation of the body and alleviate stress.  Practice various body positions (Asanas) designed to improve health and overall wellness. Introductory program is for beginners and anyone familiar with Yoga but enjoys the slower pace of an introductory class.

PILATES (14+yrs)

Intermediate classes are designed for those with previous yoga experience.  Challenge yourself to learn more advanced poses and breathing techniques while improving your mental and physical stamina.  Drop-ins welcome if space permits $10/visit
