FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Langley City, B.C.- Langley City is thrilled to announce the upcoming Seniors Week celebration, from Monday, June 3 to Sunday, June 9, 2024. This special event is open to all those who are young at heart, aged 50 years and above.
In October 2002, a proclamation was declared, designating the first week of June every year as “Seniors’ Week”. This annual occasion provides an opportunity to honour and celebrate the invaluable contributions of seniors to our community.
“We honour and celebrate the many contributions seniors make to our community every day and invite our Seniors to continue to stay involved and continue living an active and healthy lifestyle,” said Christine Daum, Recreation Supervisor at the City of Langley.
Langley City and its community partners are organizing a week-long event that will feature a range of free and low-cost programs and workshops held at different locations across Langley City. The participating venues include Timms Community Centre, Langley Senior Resource Society, Al Anderson Memorial Pool, Fraser Valley Regional Library, and Langley Lawn Bowling Club.
