Save the Date – Community Day Festival is back and bigger than ever

Langley City, British Columbia – Beautiful Douglas Park and surrounding streets will be brought to life for the FREE Community Day Festival on Saturday, June 15! Park Avenue and Douglas Crescent between 204 Street and 206 Street will be closed from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm in celebration of Community Day’s 25th anniversary which has been extended from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Community Day will be filled with live entertainment and performers, food trucks, a beer garden, community information booths, drop-in ball hockey, youth and kids activity zones, face painting, bouncy castles, games, balloon artists, a kids fire rescue challenge, and Douglas Park Community School will also be hosting a BBQ fundraiser as well as on-site parking fundraiser so event attendees can park their car from 10:00 am – 7:30 pm for $5.00 (cash only) to enjoy the attractions.  While some of the Community Day festivities wind down at 3:00 pm, there will still be ongoing entertainment and exceptional food from 25 different food trucks continuing to offer some delicious food, and at 5:00 pm, Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band will perform a free concert on stage until 7:00 pm.

“We invite you to share in one of the longest running annual events in the City of Langley”, said Community Day Committee Chair, Rosemary Wallace, “I hope to see many of our residents, visitors and members of surrounding communities take part in the 25th annual Community Day Festival, a fun-filled event for all.”

Langley City will also be launching its newest multi-season event campaign #LCLive! at the Community Day Festival. As part of this campaign, Langley City will be giving away $25 in gift certificates every week until September 1.
