Bylaw 3139 - Bylaw Notice Enforcement Bylaw

Council adopted Bylaw 3139  that will govern enforcement of Bylaw Notices within the City of Langley and then adopted amending bylaws to update the City's Highway and Traffic Regulation Bylaw and Fees and Charges Bylaw as required to comply with Bylaw 3139.

Bylaw 3126 - Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw

Council adopted Bylaw 3126 a bylaw that establishes new standard of Works and Services to be provided for the Subdivision / Development of lands and then adopted amending bylaws to update the City's Highway and Traffic Regulation Bylaw, Fees and Charges Bylaw, and Municipal Ticket Information System Amendment Bylaw as required to comply with Bylaw 3126.

Bylaw 3192 - Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw

Council adopted Bylaw 3192 that exempts exempt certain lands and improvements from municipal taxation for the year 2022.

Bylaw 3193 - Council Procedure Bylaw

Council adopted Bylaw 3193 that provides procedures for Council in conducting its meetings including providing for meetings to be held electronically.

2022 Schedule and Format of Upcoming Regular Council Meetings

Council approved the Regular Council meeting schedule for 2022 and approved holding Regular Council Meetings  electronically via video conferencing technology at 3:00 pm effective November, 2021 as permitted in the Council Procedure Bylaw.

Repealing Pavement Cut Policy CO-57

Council repealed Pavement Cut Policy CO-57 as the requirements contained in the policy are now incorporated into the new Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw.

Permissive Tax Exemption Revision FN-11

Council approved amendments to its Tax Exemption Policy FN-11 to introduce limits on the total dollar value of permissive tax exemptions.

Streetscape Container Garbage and Recycling Audit Results and Next Steps

Council received a staff report providing information on the results of a streetscape container garbage and recycling audit, the purpose of which was to quantify the composition of waste in garbage receptacles and the composition and contamination rates in the three-stream receptacles in the city, and to propose the next step to improve waste diversion in the city.

Pilot Program Evaluation, Consumption of Liquor in Parks and Public Facilities

Council received a staff report presenting an evaluation of the pilot program that permitted the consumption of liquor in some parks and public facilities during the period July 1 to September 30, 2021.

2021/2022 Deputy Mayor Appointments

Council approved the 2021/2021 Deputy Mayor Rotation Schedule.
