Bylaw No. 3287 – Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 207

Purpose: To amend the City of Langley Zoning Bylaw to rezone the property located at 20501 Logan Avenue (outlined in bold on the map below) from C2 Service Commercial Zone to CD98 Comprehensive Development Zone to permit a multi-phase apartment & commercial mixed-use transit-oriented development with heights of up to 14 storeys.

Legal Description: Lot A, Except Part in Plan LMP24382, District Lots 308 and 309, Group 2, New Westminster District, Plan NWP88217

 

In accordance with section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, the City must not hold a Public Hearing for this application. This is due to the change to Provincial housing legislation, adopted by the Province of BC on November 30, 2023, that prohibits local governments from holding public hearings for rezoning applications for residential developments that are consistent with the local government’s Official Community Plan (OCP).

This rezoning application, proposing a multi-phase apartment & commercial mixed-use transit-oriented development with heights of up to 14 storeys, is consistent with the City of Langley Official Community Plan.

The proposed Bylaw 3287, Explanatory MemoStaff Report, and Architectural Drawings may be viewed online from Friday, September 27, 2024 to Monday, October 7, 2024 and at the "Development Application Portal" (by type of development and civic address) or in person at the Development Services department at City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, excluding statutory holidays.
