Crime Prevention Task Group Recommendations

City Council endorsed the recommendations from the Crime Prevention Task Group related to educational and communication strategies to deter theft from auto crimes.

Grade Crescent Sidewalk Improvement Request

City Council directed staff to investigate the cost of implementing interim traffic calming measures, interim repairs and measures and cross walk safety improvements between 203 Street and 200 Street along Grade Crescent in time for the 2020 budget cycle or sooner if possible.

Expanding Investment Opportunities

City Council approved sending a letter of support to the City of Burnaby for Burnaby’s UBCM resolution to request the Ministry of Finance to amend the Community Charter to provide municipalities with the ability to obtain improved returns through asset class diversification, which will in return can reduce tax implications and funding costs.

Transit Priority Improvements in Langley

City Council approved the transit priority improvements to accommodate a dedicated Business Access and Transit (BAT) lane along section of 203rd Street, Logan Avenue and Fraser Highway.
