Extension of Term – Task Groups

Council extended the terms of the following Task Groups to December 31, 2021 to allow them further time to fulfill their respective mandates:

  • Arts and Culture Task Group
  • Crime Prevention Task Group
  • Economic Development Task Group
  • Environmental Task Group
  • Performing Arts and Cultural Centre Task Group

Council Policy CO-74 - Minute-taking Standards for Open and Closed Meetings

Council approved a new policy to provide updated minute-taking standards for Council and Committee meetings.

Feasibility of Solar Powered Traffic Control Equipment

Council received a staff report on the advantages and disadvantages of using solar powered equipment  within the City and the types of solar powered equipment that are currently available on the market.

Crosswalk on 208 Street at 45A Avenue – Project Cost Update

Council considered a staff report on a proposed crosswalk on 208 Street at 45A Avenue.  Council subsequently passed a resolution to proceed with construction of a crosswalk with overhead flashers at this location.

Speed “flasher” Signs Along the 208th Street Corridor

Council passed a resolution directing staff to activate the speed recording feature of the speed “flasher” signs along the 208th Street corridor and present back to Council a report that shows the minimum, maximum, and 85th percentile speed for vehicles at the 208th Street corridor “flasher” sign locations over the data recording period.
